For the past 15 years, Maison Baron Lefèvre has established itself as a must-see place in Nantes, located in the heart of the Champ-de-Mars, near the Cité des Congrès, in the area where the city's wholesale market was once held. Isabelle Lefèvre and Jean-Charles Baron have completely redesigned this former 400 m² warehouse, built in 1936 and formerly housing a market stall. In November 2004, after many months of work, a grocery restaurant in the style of the big brasseries was born, but the place has kept its identity and its soul, with its glass roof and its green Eiffel steel structure. In a vast, tastefully decorated, open-plan space that can seat 200 people, it welcomes a gourmet clientele by offering traditional cuisine made from the best market produce and vegetables from its own market garden.
